The Rosewood is in beautiful Cobourg, Ontario. Cobourg shines bright as a vacation destination due to its wonderful waterfront (beach, harbour and marina) along Lake Ontario with lots of places to eat and to shop – as well as its amazing history. Victoria Hall is just one example of incredible architecture. It serves as the town hall and is a key tourist attraction. Vic Hall (as the locals call it), was built on Cobourg’s strong regional importance in the 1850s. It was designed by architect Kivas Tully, and built with stone neo-classical flourishes.

My Mom has lived at Rosewood Estates for the past two years. The staff are kind and caring and go over and above to help residents and I can speak for my Mom specifically as she is very happy here. The grounds and building are kept clean and beautiful. The food is delicious and they make an extra effort to present the meals in a timely fashion on nicely decorated tables. Everyone is friendly and there are lots of activities should a resident want to join in. The bus service is wonderful and the activities director is amazing. Management are helpful and all staff such as maintenance, chef, wait staff and cleaners are all friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Rosewood Estates.

It is with deep regret that our health has progressed that we have found it necessary to leave Rosewood Estates. There is no other place comparable to Rosewood. The grounds are magnificent. The management teams live on site. They keep us safe and serve us tea and coffee’s at every meal. The dining room is like one found on a cruise ship, very ornate, and beautifully and brightly illuminated. The management, staff and residents are very friendly and very thoughtful. Rosewood is the best retirement home that one could find.
