What makes a Great Senior Community

On behalf of all of us at Brightwater Senior Living, thank you for choosing to be a part of our communities and welcome home.

Since 1996, it has been a privilege to be intimately involved in the design, development, and operations of senior living communities. From these years of travel and time spent in our senior living communities, arriving at the front doors has always made me feel like I am coming home. I find a good deal of enjoyment in being drawn into great conversations with residents which include some of their best stories from rich and adventurous lives.

As Brightwater Senior Living continues the legacy in providing beautifully designed and meticulously managed communities which include the highest quality in health support services, the most rewarding part of the journey will continue to be the friendships with both staff and residents that have been created along the way. And from these friendships creative ideas have been shared providing the inspiration for today’s Brightwater Senior Living brand.

I am thrilled with the welcoming interior design of the Brightwater communities where catching up with friends and family has never been easier or more inviting with warm tones, well-appointed seating, and comfortable gathering spaces incorporated throughout the community. And then there’s the food. I think it's true that good food and good company make for a great life. Our community management teams work hand in hand with our community Executive Chefs in planning and creating healthy and tasty cuisine. Brightwater takes pride in preparing delicious meals from scratch daily, and I look forward to dining with residents and guests every chance I get.

I find that I also enjoy working beside our community staff. Over the years I have found a tremendous respect and admiration for the jobs they do in our communities. In my office, I have photos of many of these staff members who very much love their jobs and the residents they serve. My photos remind me of the positive impacts these efforts have on our residents and their families. I am always looking for another hero to add to my treasured collection of memories.

I am honored to have the opportunity and privilege of working and spending time in our senior living communities. It has been one of God’s greatest blessings to me. Susan Cull RN, BN
Executive Director

Born and raised in Newfoundland, Susan brings over 25 years of nursing experience and heartfelt compassion to her work. After earning her Bachelor of Nursing from Memorial University, she made the move to wonderful Winnipeg, where she has built a diverse career in acute care, home care, and assisted living.

Caring for others is Susan’s true passion. She finds joy in connecting with people, listening to their stories, and making a positive difference in their lives. Her warm and genuine approach is at the heart of everything she does.

When she’s not at work, Susan enjoys spending quality time with her family, going for walks, and immersing herself in nature.

Susan is excited to welcome you to your new home at Linden Pointe — where care, compassion, and community come together.

Elizabeth Cleven
Sales & Marketing Director

Born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, Elizabeth comes from a diverse background with over 15 years’ experience in Sales and Customer Service. She graduated with a Marketing Degree from College LaSalle in Montreal where she specialized in Fashion and Communications.

Elizabeth’s role is centered around building meaningful relationships and understanding the unique needs of all residents. She is passionate about helping seniors and their families find comfort, care and community.

When not at work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, including her 3 kids and partner. She loves to swim and go for long walks with her rescue dog.

Elizabeth is available to offer guidance, answer questions, and help you find the best fit for you or your loved one.

Wes Giesbrecht
Sales & Marketing Director

Wes Giesbrecht brings extensive experience and a diverse skill set to his role as Sales and Marketing Director at Linden Pointe. With a background in Architectural and Structural Drafting, Project Management, Specialty Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Retail, and Health, he offers a broad perspective and creative approach to every challenge.

Over the course of his career, Wes has held leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Operations, managing teams, driving revenue growth, and developing training programs. At Brightwater, he is passionate about making a meaningful impact each day, using a consultative and empathetic approach to support individuals and families in achieving their goals.

Outside of work, Wes enjoys time with his family, music, motorcycling, and lifelong learning. He looks forward to welcoming you to Linden Pointe, where Brightwater truly reflects “Senior Living at its Finest.”

Stephanie Olson
Operations and Administrative Director

Stephanie has built her career in operations, with the majority of her experience gained at Canada Post as an Operations Manager. In this role, she honed her leadership skills by guiding teams to achieve excellence and reach new milestones. While transitioning from manufacturing operations to senior living may seem like a shift, Stephanie continues to apply her strengths in leadership, team development, and operational efficiency to foster a supportive environment where both staff and residents thrive.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at her cabin, and cooking meals to bring everyone together.

At Brightwater, Stephanie is dedicated to ensuring residents feel comfortable, supported, and truly at home. She maintains an open-door approach, welcoming conversations and working to resolve any concerns, always prioritizing the well-being and happiness of the community.

Shawn Bustamante Health Services Director at The Courtyards at Linden Pointe in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Shawn Bustamante, LPN
Health Services Director

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Shawn Bustamante brings over 14 years of nursing experience and a passion for supporting older adults. She began her career in a Personal Care Home, where she built a strong foundation in senior care and a deep commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.

Since joining Brightwater Senior Living more than five years ago, Shawn has held key roles including Charge Nurse, Staff Educator, Health Services Director, and Health Service Specialist with the Central Office team in Bend, Oregon. Her leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication to resident well-being make her a valuable part of the Linden Pointe team.

A lifelong learner, Shawn finds fulfillment in coaching and inspiring her team through collaboration and encouragement. She looks forward to continuing to bring her experience, compassion, and energy to Linden Pointe.

Outside of work, Shawn enjoys time with her husband, Craig, and their two young children, Lincoln and Eliana.
