What makes a Great Senior Community
On behalf of all of us at Brightwater Senior Living, thank you for choosing to be a part of our communities and welcome home.
Since 1996, it has been a privilege to be intimately involved in the design, development, and operations of senior living communities. From these years of travel and time spent in our senior living communities, arriving at the front doors has always made me feel like I am coming home. I find a good deal of enjoyment in being drawn into great conversations with residents which include some of their best stories from rich and adventurous lives.
As Brightwater Senior Living continues the legacy in providing beautifully designed and meticulously managed communities which include the highest quality in health support services, the most rewarding part of the journey will continue to be the friendships with both staff and residents that have been created along the way. And from these friendships creative ideas have been shared providing the inspiration for today’s Brightwater Senior Living brand.

I am thrilled with the welcoming interior design of the Brightwater communities where catching up with friends and family has never been easier or more inviting with warm tones, well-appointed seating, and comfortable gathering spaces incorporated throughout the community. And then there’s the food. I think it's true that good food and good company make for a great life. Our community management teams work hand in hand with our community Executive Chefs in planning and creating healthy and tasty cuisine. Brightwater takes pride in preparing delicious meals from scratch daily, and I look forward to dining with residents and guests every chance I get.
I find that I also enjoy working beside our community staff. Over the years I have found a tremendous respect and admiration for the jobs they do in our communities. In my office, I have photos of many of these staff members who very much love their jobs and the residents they serve. My photos remind me of the positive impacts these efforts have on our residents and their families. I am always looking for another hero to add to my treasured collection of memories.
I am honored to have the opportunity and privilege of working and spending time in our senior living communities. It has been one of God’s greatest blessings to me. Meet The Team

Karina Tapia
Executive Director
Karina Tapia serves as the Executive Director of Pine Ridge Terrace in Santa Rosa. She is passionate about creating a vibrant, caring community and leads with compassion, integrity and commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Residents. She has over 25 years work experience in health care and the senior industry. Karina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science with an Emphasis in Teaching and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Administrator. She lives in Rohnert Park with her two young daughters and pet dog. She enjoys a variety of activities such as cooking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, going to the gym, watching her daughters play soccer and overall spending time with her family and friends.

Timothy Guintu
Operations and Administration Director
Timothy Guintu serves as the Operations and Administration Director for Pine Ridge Terrace, bringing 17 years of experience in senior living. His career began as a Concierge and has spanned roles including Server, Caregiver, Med-Tech, Driver, Accounting Assistant, and Director of Finance. This extensive experience has given Timothy a deep understanding of every facet of resident services and back-office operations.
Timothy is dedicated to providing exceptional care and customer service to both residents and the broader community. Born and raised in New Jersey, he currently resides in Windsor, CA with his wife, parents, and niece. Known as an outgoing introvert, Timothy is deeply family-oriented and committed to fostering a welcoming, supportive environment for everyone at Pine Ridge Terrace.

Cheyenne Flores
Health Services Director
As the Health Services Director, Cheyenne Flores leads the daily clinical operations of the community and works closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure compassionate, high-quality care is being provided. With 13 years of experience in senior living, Cheyenne’s journey began in a small Memory Care as a Caregiver. She eventually moved into the role as Med Tech which then progressed into Lead Med Tech. After graduating from nursing school, she was ultimately promoted to the Director of the Clinical Department.
Cheyenne maintains her LVN with extensive experience and training in Hospice services, behavioral health, the different stages of Alzheimer's, and the aging process. She is passionate about supporting both the physical and emotional well-being of residents, building strong relationships, and fostering a collaborative team environment that puts people first. Cheyenne lives in Santa Rosa with her Pomeranian Piper.
